On Saturday, April 12th, Special Love hosted a well-deserved day of rest and connection for our incredible parents at the beautiful Barrel Oak Winery and Brewery in Delaplane, Virginia. Despite the less-than-perfect weather, the atmosphere was full of warmth, laughter, and meaningful conversation.

Parent’s Day—lovingly dubbed Sip, Snack, Socialize—gave both current program parents and bereaved parents a chance to relax and recharge. Attendees enjoyed complimentary wine tastings, delicious bites, and the opportunity to connect with others who understand the unique journey of caring for a child with cancer.

The vineyard views may have been misty, but that didn’t dampen spirits. From heartfelt conversations to new friendships formed over shared experiences, the day was a powerful reminder of the strength and support within our Special Love family.
