I thought about writing every detail describing the swell of enthusiasm, excitement, and activities that kicked off our week, but my years of experience has taught me that our campers are our experts. One of our resident camp reporters from the “Camp Cruisepaper” summed it up perfectly:

Yesterday, we arrived at camp! Everyone was excited to be there! Then we all got settled in and went down for lunch. Then we went down to the pool and had to take our swim test. The water was also really cold! Then we went up for dinner and we had hamburgers and hot dogs and then after we had marshmallows and strawberries dipped in chocolate. We were supposed to have a pool party but instead we had to play games inside. It was still very fun and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Then we all settled down and went up to our rooms and played 21. Shortly after we started we had to stop because we had to go to bed. It was a fun day despite the rain.
