Elena Jeannotte serves as the Executive Director of Special Love, leading the organization in its mission to provide support and community for children with cancer and their families. In this role, she oversees strategic initiatives, fundraising efforts, and program development to ensure Special Love continues to make a lasting impact.
Elena was drawn to Special Love by its deep commitment to serving families facing childhood cancer, recognizing the powerful role of connection and shared experiences in the healing journey. Her passion for this work is deeply personal—she served as a caregiver for both of her parents, who passed away from cancer. That experience shaped her dedication to ensuring families facing similar challenges have the support and resources they need. She joined Special Love in 2024, bringing with her a strong background in advocacy and nonprofit leadership.
With previous leadership roles at the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS) and Georgetown University, Elena has extensive experience in fundraising, program development, community engagement, and policy advocacy. She earned her degree from Hofstra University and has dedicated her career to advancing causes that empower individuals and families.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and exploring new coffee shops (and breweries!)
