Angela plays an integral role in the Special Love team. As Program Director, she organizes all program logistics, collaborates with our large corps of volunteers, and attends all Special Love programs. She also manages program-related communications, keeping our families up-to-date and addressing any questions that arise.
Angela joined the Special Love community when she was just 9 years old as a BRASS Camper. Her brother is a childhood cancer survivor, and throughout her adolescence, Angela attended BRASS Camp, Special Love’s summer camp for siblings of cancer patients. The friendships and connections she built through her years BRASS Camp inspired her to join the team in 2008.
Angela received her B.S. in Biology from Virginia Tech. After graduating, she began working in the Special Love office as an administrative assistant, attending to donation entries and program registrations. In 2013, Angela became Program Director. Her favorite part of her job is being able to provide fun, memorable experiences for our children and families through the same programs that she grew up with.
In her free time, Angela enjoys spending time with her husband and their 4 kids, and she’s often found cheering them on at their various sporting events. She also enjoys baking, visiting her family in Florida, and boating at Deep Creek Lake with family and close friends.
