Special Love has partnered with Cancer Hope Network to bring their Hopeful Hearts: Parents Supporting Parents program to our community. This free, one-on-one peer mentor program connects parents and caregivers of children with cancer to trained mentors—other parents who have walked a similar journey and are ready to offer support, encouragement, and understanding.

Several Special Love alumni parents are currently undergoing mentor training, and we are currently matching Special Love families with Special Love mentors—people who truly understand what you’re going through.

Whether you’re in the midst of treatment, navigating survivorship, or anywhere in between, you deserve support from someone who’s been there.

This partnership helps us expand the ways we support you, and we hope it brings added comfort and connection during your family’s journey.

Here’s what our partnership with Hopeful Hearts offers:

  • Free, one-on-one emotional support
  • Mentors who are parents of childhood cancer survivors
  • Conversations that are private, compassionate, and on your schedule
  • A way to feel less alone

If you’d like to be matched with a peer mentor—or if you’re a Special Love parent or caregiver who’s interested in becoming one—you can learn more and sign up below!
