A Day on the Green, A Lifetime of Impact: 2025 Special Love Golf Tournament Recap
On Friday, June 6, over 140 golfers gathered at Rock Harbor Golf Course in Winchester, Virginia, for a day of sunshine, just a little rain, camaraderie, and compassion at the sold-out 2025 Special Love Golf Tournament.
From the moment the first golfers arrived at 8:00 AM for registration, breakfast, and raffle ticket sales, the energy was high. With a broad selection of prizes—including a Yeti cooler, several golf outings at sought-after courses, and themed gift baskets—our raffle tables were buzzing with excitement.
At 9:00 AM sharp, 36 foursomes teed off for a fun-filled day on the course. By early afternoon, the golfers returned to the pavilion for lunch, drinks, and the much-anticipated awards and raffle announcements.
One of the most meaningful moments of the day came when a beloved Winchester family—longtime participants in Camp Fantastic, BRASS Camp, and our parent programs—shared their powerful story. Their words reminded us all why we gather each year: to bring strength, support, and joy to children with cancer and their families.
Thanks to our amazing title sponsors, Fort Collier Group, Loudoun Mutual Insurance and Specialized Engineering, our other generous sponsors, and every golfer who joined us, the event raised over $51,000 to benefit Special Love’s camps and year-round programs. This support ensures that more families can experience the healing power of community, nature, and play—at no cost to them.
We are profoundly grateful to everyone who helped make this day so successful.
